Data processed

The hosting provider may process technical connection data such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL and browser details in server logs for secure operation. The app stores public story metadata (title, short summary, source name, original URL and publication time) in a PostgreSQL database. There are currently no user accounts, comments, analytics or marketing cookies.

External news sources

During feed imports, the server fetches a fixed list of RSS sources, which exposes the server IP address to those providers. Story text is shortened and linked to the original source; full article text is not stored.

Retention

Technical log retention depends on the hosting provider's configuration. News stories remain in the database until editorially removed.

Hosting and transfers

The site is intended to run on a Hostinger VPS. Before launch, confirm the actual provider, server location, data processing terms and log retention against the hosting plan and deployed configuration.
